Vectorized / Redpanda is a company that pursues becoming the best streaming platform, being the Kafka replacement. These are products for developers, presenting interfaces with simple navigation.

The goal
Support Development and Marketing team to create mockups and assets for products, assets, and informational pieces.
My role
Create a Design System that helps other designers and developers to be sync creating flows faster, teaching them to follow UX/UI guidelines, and being aligned with the requirements of the users.
Design system
As a new brand with new products, this project didn’t define clear guidelines or a formal Design System. In the first stage, I defined a simple design system that was getting bigger as more requirements came to the project. For that reason, we started to create a complex Design System, with the support of Developers how are creators and main users of the product.
This system contains all the rules, definitions, and states for every single element used on the current experience and the structure allows changes of the upcoming rebranding for features of platforms and websites.
Vectorized Cloud
As a platform for managing clusters, topics, and users, Cloud has been a huge challenge in terms of user experience, considering my lack-age of knowledge on development. However, with the help of the team, it was possible to create a simple experience of management for developers that use Redpanda and the Kafka API.
Now that the product is public, we are getting feedback from real users and trying to improve some of these screens with gaps and usability issues that we didn’t cover in the first case.
